After reading Shakespeare in school, performing monologues and A Midsummer's Night Dream, I became very interested in his work. Macbeth conveys an important message about greed an guilt that still remains relevant. I actually read it to prepare myself to see Alan Cumming in a one man version of Macbeth which was incredible. It really made the experience better to know the play before hand.
