What Would You Choose

I'm just curious, if you had one wish, just one, what would it be? Hmmm, think carefully, this is a tough one. I can't wait to hear from you....

Facebook Craziness

Hey everyone. Just for your information, I am also on facebook so come keep in touch there as well and invite me as "your friend". Internet networking is a great way to keep in touch, and especially a great way to see what is going on here for you at the library! I'm "friends" with many of you already so keep in touch!

"Black Friday"- Friday, November 28th

The Friday after Thanksgiving has become known in the last few decades as one of the busiest of the year for retailers, the traditional start of the holiday shopping season. One of the names used for this day is Black Friday, which some say comes from the fact that it is the biggest shopping day of the year, putting stores firmly in the black.
So what are your plans for this day? Going shopping anywhere? I want a new tv and will be looking around. Remember, the library is OPEN all day from 10am-9pm that Friday and we will be showing the movie "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2" from 1:30-3:30. This movie is Rated PG-13, so stop on down to watch, or stop in YA Central to hang out. We have new computers, books, magazines and more! So what are your plans...

Next TLC meeting- Thursday, November 20th

Just a quick reminder that the next Teen Literary Committee meeting is next Thursday, November 20th!! Grades 6-8 meet from 7-8pm and grades 9-12 meet from 8-9pm. Bring a friend and join Mr. Cooper for this TLC meeting.

Music and More-What Do You Like

So each morning as I drive to work, all two minutes of it, I must jump around eight different radio stations. I love so many different artists/groups, everything from Aerosmith to Bon Jovi to Alicia Keys to Kid Rock to Rihanna to 50 Cent to Usher to Billy Joel to Metallica to Linkin Park to Pink to Chris Brown to Jay-Z to Kanye West and so on and so on. Soooooo much awesome music out there and I was wondering what are some of your favorites....

November is Here, Thanksgiving is Near!

Ok everyone, since we have finally hit November, it means Thanksgiving is officially around the corner. This time of year is always a reminder for myself to reflect on some of the things that I'm thankful for. Some things I'm thankful for include : my family here at Harborfields Public Library, my job where I get to work with all of the teens and your families in this incredible community, my health, and of course lots of football and stuffing on Thanksgiving Day!!! What are a few things you are all thankful for? Please share....
