YA Summer Reading Club Review: The Cage

Title: The Cage
Author: Ruth Minsky Sender
Review: The Cage is the horrifying, true story about a young lady surviving the Holocaust. She was torn from her mother, having to make her brothers her responsibility. Then being taken away from her adopted sons (her brothers) she was left with nothing. This book should only be read by the strong-hearted, for there are gut-wrenching punishments the Jews had to endure.

This is a great psychological read for a person who likes rich characters. Flip is a typical kid who is, honestly, a delinquent. However, Flip is not the main character. Alex finds himself awake in the wrong body. He goes on a journey to find his true self, where he belongs and his position in life. Not a lot of action, but the book makes you think.
