April is National Poetry Month


National Poetry Month is a celebration of poetry, first established by the Academy of American Poets as a way to increase awareness of poetry throughout the United States. This celebration emphasizes the importance of poetry in American Culture and draws attention to individual works of poetry and poets, books, journals, and more. During the month of April, please post comments, messages, or your own poem. I look forward to hearing from you!

So from April 6th-13th all students will be enjoying a little break from school. Any plans? Anybody doing anything special? Maybe you are going away, or to a friend's house, movies, mall, etc? Go Green and Save Green


Ok, so we will start this "go green" promotion a little early. Starting right now, until the end of Tuesday, March 17th, please post here ways you can help our world "go green" and help our environment. Next Teen Literary Committee Meeting- Wed March 25th


Everyone please remember our next Teen Literary Committee Meeting will be on Wednesday, March 25th. Grades 6-8 meet at 7pm and grades 9-12 meet at 8pm. No registration is required, so bring a friend and come to TLC!

March Madness Book Bonanza

During the month of March, stop by each week in the Teen Room and vote on your favorite book in our March Madness Tournament. Young adult books will be paired against each other and the winner will advance on to the next bracket in the tournament. It is up to you and your vote to help your favorite books advance to the next round, until we award the champion at the end of the month. Once per day, you may vote for your favorite book and also enter a raffle to win gift cards to several Greenlawn hot spots such as Dunkin Donuts, Game Stop, Jimmy’s Pizza and Broadway Pizza. Stop by for March Madness!
