Get Carded@the Library- All January long!
Anytime during the month of January, stop by and show Mr. Cooper that you have a Harborfields Public Library card and you will be rewarded with a surprise bag of treats (one per person please). Need to get a library card or get it updated? Then please stop and see Mr. Cooper as you are eligible to have a library card which you can then show Mr. Cooper to get your bag of treats! Your library card is valuable, as it allows you to attend library programs, and to check-out or reserve library materials such as books, DVDs, CDs, magazines and more. Stop by and “Get Carded” today! Any questions, please ask Mr. Cooper.
Conquer the SAT Test- Thurs Feb 5th from 7:00-8:30pm
Any high school student may join Mindy Lampert, a pre-college Director from Kaplan Test Prep and Admissions for this helpful overview of the entire SAT test. There will be structure reviews of the test and key strategies in math, reading and the essay part of the exam. There are also comparisons to the ACT exam and brief guidelines for the admissions process. All your questions will be addressed as well, so please call the Reference Desk to register for this seminar to help conquer the SAT. Parents may also attend as well.
Get Ready to Babysit- Saturday Jan 10th from 10am-1pm
Babysitting or working as a mother’s helper can be a great way to earn extra money, as well as gain valuable experience with young children. This workshop will teach various skills necessary that every good babysitter should have. Everyone will receive a certificate upon completion of this course, which is being taught by professionals from Cornell Cooperative Extension. Please call the Reference Desk to register and this is for students in grades 6-9 only please

Teen Series Fiction- What do you enjoy?
There are so many awesome teen series' books out there and I was wondering what were some of your favorites to read? Just looking around YA Central and I'm seeing so many cool series' to choose from, such as Alex Rider Series, Clique, Harry Potter, Twilight, Artemis Fowl, Princess Diaries, Bloody Jack Adventures, Cirque du Freak, Daughters of the Moon, Georgia Nicolson series, Keys to the Kingdom, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, Private and sooooooo many more.
